Aerotek is seeking entry level lab technicians to work for our client in St. Louis, MO.
Lab Technician
Role Description:
The primary purpose of this position is to prepare complex chemical media and/or sub components, dispensing system setup/verification and ensuring timely delivery of high quality product to Card production. Rapidly learn new procedures and reduce them to practice. Secondary and tertiary functions may include but are not limited to work station organizing, safety, housekeeping and maintenance functions in the production department.
Additional Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Prepare large batches of media but dispense into smaller quantities for production runs
- Follow production schedule and instructions (electronically log all work according to GMP)
- May work in 1 of 4 areas and will rotate once trained (Media Production, Base Broth Production, Glassware washing, Clean/Weigh Area )
Qualifications:
-Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related field
-0-1 year experience in laboratory setting
-Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced team dynamic
