About this job
Candidate is responsible for the service and repair of forklifts brought into the shop. Types of forklifts include: Electric Riders, Reach Trucks, Motorized Pallet Jacks, Propane and Diesel powered. The majority of the forklifts worked on will be (Yale, Bendi, Drexel and Sellick) brands. Candidates will perform mechanical troubleshooting, hydraulic troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and installation/removal of new forklift parts.
Candidates will undergo factory training on all forklifts serviced which includes electrical troubleshooting training. Training will be ongoing throughout their career with the goal of getting them to the "maintenance technician" role where they will begin to travel to various client sites around Indianapolis. (The training typically takes 6 months to advance to the next position). There will be opportunity for advancement.
This will be a Monday-Friday first shift position running from 7:45a-4:30p.
