Medical Billing Specialist

Aerotek is currently seeking to hire experienced Medical Billing Specialists for a contract-to-hire opportunity with a client in Newport News. This client is dedicated to providing the best billing, collection and reimbursement services for medical practices. They have been providing billing, collections, and accounts receivable services since 1988. They are a growing, fast paced, national, technology based company.

They are seeking Medical Billing Specialist to manage and collect AR for medical clinics. A detailed job description is provided below.

Job Description:

- All aspects of follow-up and collections

- Verifying insurance payments for accuracy

- Submitting appeals for non-payment or additional reimbursement

- Verifying provider contracts and credentialing status

- Answering incoming calls from patients and insurance companies

- Performing appropriate billing functions including manual re-bills as well as electronic submission to payers.

Qualifications:

- Ideal candidate will have 3+ years of AR Follow Up experience in a medical practice
- Electronic Medical Records
- Attention to detail
- Team player
- Ability to multi-task
- Great customer service
