About this job
We are currently working on a great opportunity with our large banking client in Lynn, MA. The position is a variation of collections that requires no severe-escalations, or other hard-nosed collections tactics. Our client complies with local and national banking regulations that focus on heavy customer service. With this, our client provides a great environment to pursue a career that has a competitive base salary and incentive structure.
Pay: $16-$19/hr while on contract (based on experience)
- Upon going permanent, the base salary will be $40,000 per year with the potential to earn an extra $1,000 per month!
Duration: 6 month- CONTRACT TO HIRE!
The collections rep will be responsible for collection on various Eastern Bank customer delinquencies ranging from Consumer loans debt, overdraft fees, mobile home debt, equity debt, etc. It's a high volume outbound calling role where rep will exhibit the highest level of customer service while seeking return on money owed to the bank.
Top 5 Must Haves:
1. 1+ years' proven customer service experience, ideally within a business professional environment
2. Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office programs, typing ability etc.
3. General understanding of collections combined with genuine interest in working this type of role (NOT FOR EVERYONE!)
4. Punctuality/Work Ethic
5. Proven ability to meet daily goals/deadlines
Responsibilities:
- Making outbound calls / sending emails / mailing letters to clients with late payments
- Learning collections process for: cash, checking, mortgage, equity, and more
- Identifying the most urgent late payments
- Building a relationship with clients to increase likelihood of payment and on-time payments moving forward
