About this job

We currently have an opening in an innovated team environment for a Mechanical Engineer with experience in a Medical Device, Aircraft, or military environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead responsibilities on mechanical development projects or sub-projects, including the packaging of motors and electronics including wire routing
  • Limited AutoCad work required primarily for legacy systems and support
  • Take an active role in managing the sourcing of components and sub-assemblies including process evaluation, vendor sourcing and managing prototype builds.
  • Design, build, test prototype systems and/or sub modules
  • Develop assembly or alignment methods and fixtures

Qualifications:

  • 3 years experience in similar role with a minimum of 5+ years overall experience
  • Strong experience with Solidworks sheet metal, weldments, plastic enclosures and FEA Analysis
  • Design experience using various fabrication techniques including precision machining, welding, sheet metal forming, plastics (grown and/or molded) and adhesives.
  • Knowledge of the FDA and ISO regulatory requirements
  • Proficient in generating structured Documentation for Hardware, Design Test Procedures, Verification, Validation and Work Instructions
