Chemist - Full-time / Part-time

Responsibilities and Duties

• Carries out multi-step synthesis, isolation, purification, and characterization of small organic compounds, peptides and conjugates
• Scale-up of key intermediates and final compounds
• Perform purification of peptides/conjugates using a variety of purification techniques
• Support characterization and analytical testing of compounds
• Analyze and interpret experimental results
• Document experimental procedures and results

Qualifications and Skills

• BS/BA degree in Chemistry or related discipline with 2+ years post-degree experience, or equivalent
• Proficient with multi-step organic synthesis and instrumentation including HPLC, LC-MS and chromatographic separations
• Critical thinking and ability to perform reaction scale calculations
• Able to multi-task and communicate results effectively
• Clear record of laboratory productivity
• Must work well in a multidisciplinary team environment
• Good attention to detail
