Summary: The Construction Inspector is responsible for inspecting and reporting on virtually every phase of the construction process: including, but not limited to, civil (site work), structural; building, electrical, mechanical, indoor air quality, safety, and hazardous material abatement. The Construction Inspector ensures that all contract documents represented by working drawings and specifications are properly executed by the contractors.

Assist with field inspections to evaluate the work performed and materials used; verifying quality of workmanship, quality of materials used, and compliance with plans, specifications, estimates and applicable codes and regulations; and documenting deficiencies and deviations from plans.

  • General office administration duties.
    Tabulate, prepare, and submit data and observation in the form of written and digital reports as work is performed for daily transmittal to the Construction Manager.
  • Work in conjunction with other Field Staff to ensure mutual project and personal development goals are being met.
    Attend/participate in project meetings, and maintain written and photographic documentation.
  • Possess the ability to learn the technical terminology relevant to the project sites and job function.
  • Assist with scheduling and dispatch of Technicians to project sites.
  • Perform basic testing and observations duties.
  • Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles and work areas.
  • Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
  • Submit documentation and communicates results as directed by the Construction Manager.
  • Responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.
    Will be placed in a progressively increased role of training and responsibility in work assignments.
