Aerotek is seeking R&D Technicians with a Chemistry background to work for our client in St. Louis, MO.
Role Description:
Technicians will be scaling up a variety of products (hand sanitizer, body washes, shampoos) from lab to manufacturing so it is important to have a chemistry mind as well as familiarity with manufacturing processes. Will work in a GMP regulated environment.
Basic instrumentation and techniques utilized will include: ph meter, basic wet chemistry, viscosity testing. Out in the plant they will be monitoring what production is doing in relation to the scale up process. The company is in process with an overhaul conversion project and re-formulating existing products and preparing for production.
Hours: There are two openings (one on first shift, and one on second shift)
First shift: M-F, 6AM-2PM
Second shift: M-F 12PM-8PM
Qualifications:
BS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Related Science
1+ years relative process development and scale-up experience within a manufacturing environment. (Does not necessarily need to be in this role, just some exposure to manufacturing processes)
Preferred experience in personal care, household, pharmaceutical or related industry.
Basic understanding of liquid manufacturing process equipment and liquid manufacturing processes.
Good written and oral communication skills.
