About this job

Looking to add a controls engineer to our plant on an off shift. Both 2nd and 3rd shift are open.

This person will manage all development testing and process parameters for magnetic arc welding and friction welding process while supporting all Siemens and Allen-Bradley programming. Supports and implements model year changes and warranty process changes to improve cost, safety, quality, speed and data integrity. Responsible for the programming and troubleshooting of computerized equipment, PC's, and programmable controls. The robots are welding and material handling.

JOB DUTIES:
- Manage all development testing for magnetic arc and friction.
- Develop all process parameters for magnetic arc and friction welding.
- Manage all Siemens and Allen-Bradley programs, improvements and changes.
- Develop and manage engineering controls, electrical, and programming standards.
- Manage continuous improvement projects utilizing the DOS tools and methodology aimed to improve safety, quality, increase productivity, reduce downtime and reduce scrap.
- On time engineering change implementation.
- Interact successfully with customer engineering and SQE representatives.
- Adhere to Quality, Safety, and Environmental Policies.
- Understand and follow all required DOS standards.
- Any task deemed necessary by Management.

Travel Requirements: Travel will only be 10%. The trips would be a week long at maximum and this will be a very small portion of the 10%.

Hours: Will be expected to work 50 hour weeks, with the occasional Saturday or Sunday.
