About this job

RESPONSIBILITIES: Troubleshoot and repair all avionics systems in a efficient and safe manner. Individual must be able to perform this task with minimal or no supervision. Technician must be capable and experienced to perform 91.411 and 91.413 inspections. Have a complete understanding of IFR ramp test equipment or equivalent. Technician must be knowledgeable in the following areas on Garmin software: Autopilots, Flight Directors, Multi-Function Displays, TCAS, EGPWS, EFIS systems, Nav/Comms, Entertainment, Flitefones, DME/Transponders, FMS, ADF and Radar.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Must have at least 5 years of recent line troubleshooting experience in the corporate aviation industry on Garmin products. Experience on Citation, King Air, Learjet recommended. Experience on Dassault, Gulfstream, Challenger and Hawker is preferred. Education must include some type of formal training like Military Avionics school, Embry-Riddle, etc.

Performance Expectations: Measuring Performance - They measure the performance based on three things, Time it takes to complete a project or task, Rework, how they impact others they interface with. The direct manager will get feedback from everyone that technician interfaces with and combine that intel with his/her own feedback on the mechanic and use that to measure performance. Interview Information: Resume/Skills test sent in to Interview with Chris directly. Phone interviews for out of area candidates, in person interviews with in area candidates.

A good fit would be someone that knows our core aircrafts and someone that can troubleshoot and knows the systems.

Ask the candidate and references then the last time they were thrown on the aircraft on their own and were able to troubleshoot and find the issues.Can they walk up to an Aircraft cold. Can they explain what is issue and fix it.
Additional Compensation: OT is currently ranging anywhere from 5-15 hours a week.
Pay ranges will be:
3 years of experience- $25/hr
4-7years experience- $26-28/hhr
8-10 years experience- $29-31/hr
10+ years- $32
