You are a confident and experienced negotiator.simPRO Software's client base is increasing and as a result we require the skills of a Business Development Manager who can expand and continue to grow with our new focus on the West Coast Sales Region.

This position is based in California in an autonomous role and requires the successful candidate to work from a home office and report directly to the VP of Sales who is based in Colorado. There will be initial four weeks of training and onboarding at our US HQ in Broomfield, CO and the successful candidate will be expected to be in CO during this time. The successful applicant will also possess a current full drivers licence as well as have reliable transportation. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to join an established, employee-friendly, global company with a new US presence that started in 2017 in Colorado that will grow exponentially across the United States in the next 12 to 18 months.

Role and Responsibilities:

The primary purpose of the Business Development Manager is to be responsible for ensuring they proactively develop new business and achieve the sales targets for their region. Transactions are small in value ($600-$2,000 MRR) but high in numbers (5-7 per month).

  • Understand how trade contracting and field service businesses work and be persuasive in promoting product benefits given specific circumstances and needs.
  • Articulating and appreciating the workflows associated with trade contracting businesses is critical.
  • Understand simPRO's software product range and associated add-ons and services at an expert level.
  • Delivery of compelling and entertaining sales presentations to all types of buyers and buying groups involved in organizations both large and small.
  • Develop and execute a sales plan with monthly and quarterly activity updates to expand business into new accounts throughout the region.
  • Participate in weekly and monthly one-on-one and team forecast and pipeline reviews, meetings and training sessions to ensure ongoing improvement and best-practice sharing.
  • Display a thorough understanding of opportunities and threats by market segment in the assigned regions and an in-depth knowledge of the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions.
  • Generate referrals and qualified leads from industry trade shows, associations and regional networking events.
  • Be available to travel across California and to Colorado for sales meetings, product demonstrations, trade shows, regional events, prospect affinity group gatherings plus attend, team meetings and conferences.
  • Execute personal campaigns, activities and processes to build and nurture a pipeline of prospects, ensure a high conversion rate to qualified lead status and close a high proportion of deals to ensure above quota results are consistently achieved.
