Job Description

The VP of Health Systems plays a critical and strategic role in building, cultivating and maintaining relationships with key Health System, ACO, and other Provider accounts.

In this role, you will apply your experience and deep healthcare understanding to identify and qualify opportunities, gain access to and build relationships with executive-level key stakeholders within the Health System client, position our products for success, and close contracts that result in immediate and sustainable revenue for WellDoc’s products and services. Additionally, some of your work will be coordinated with our commercial partners. The VP of Health Systems will also consult and advocate for client success internally to ensure the client experience is exceptional.

WellDoc products are revolutionary in nature, serving patients, providers, health plans and employers. The successful candidate will be creative and strategic with their overall planning to drive uptake of the WellDoc product(s) in the current healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
  • Drive product sales and adoption efforts with targeted Health System, ACO, and other Provider customers, owning sales success from lead-generation to contract execution
  • Gain access to and develop credible executive level relationships with Health Systems, ACOs, and other Providers by engaging them in problem solving conversations while bringing valuable insights to the discussion and navigating the opportunity to close
  • Leverage influential leadership skills to enlist the necessary cross-functional resources needed to support client success
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop an account growth strategy and forecast, including account mapping of key stakeholders at each targeted account.
  • Understand strategic priorities and fiscal (revenue and budget) expectations of targeted accounts
  • Act as a liaison between client and internal team to ensure prompt response and resolution to client needs, positioning WellDoc products for success
  • Utilize exceptional communication and influencing skills to align client goals with WellDoc priorities
  • Oversee implementation and on-going engagement activities for each account
  • Develop process to evaluate key metrics internally and with client
  • Remain current in healthcare policy and market trends to offer proactive information and guidance to teams
Required Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will have:
  • 8+ years of healthcare experience in account management/selling strategically to C-suite executives in the healthcare space. Digital/mobile health solution experience preferred.
  • Successful track record of securing contracts with Health Systems, ACOs and other Provider clients (required). Experience selling to health plans is a plus
  • Experience negotiating and structuring sales contracts with sophisticated health plan buyers
  • Understanding of and conversant in industry/market trends and client business challenges
  • Knowledge of the healthcare market and interaction between payors, providers, hospital/health systems, suppliers, etc.
  • Executive presence with the ability to sell, present, strategize, and implement
  • Strong strategic, tactical, and analytical skills, as well as polished presentation, oral and written communication skills
  • Self-motivation and competitive mindset with ability to work autonomously; you should be energized by the challenge of building a new business
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Self-awareness and be a team player who thrives in a challenging and dynamic environment
  • A passion for changing the lives of people living with chronic disease
Required Education
  • A Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare, or science plus an MBA strongly preferred
