Job Purpose Represent the company to its customers in the Middle East, North Africa and French-Speaking Sub-Sahara regions; Identify customer needs and align those needs with company product offerings; To effectively present solutions for customers and influence customer decisions; Secure sales of products and services at an acceptable level of profit for the company; To effectively "close the deal" through contract formation and oversee product/service delivery commitments.

  • Support the Area Sales Director in expanding locomotive, wagon and rail infrastructure aftermarket sales activities in the region;
  • Provide leadership for sales to assigned customers through the identification, development, and execution of strategies supporting the customer’s objectives and plans;
  • Develop effective customer relationships;
  • Support and execution of regional strategies;
  • Develop and deliver “value-adding” product presentations and locomotive component set proposals for customers in the MENA Region;
  • Develop and communicate accurate forecasts;
  • Identify and act on new sales initiatives;
  • Develop and execute strategies to increase sales and meet the region’s goals;
  • Negotiate contracts and required;
  • Monitor and communicate customer and competitor activities;
  • Manage general customer inquiries and service matters;
  • Maintain knowledge of market trends, regulatory requirements;
  • Represent the company to the customer.
Education / Training Required:
  • Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent;
  • Must read / write fluently in French.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
  • Must have a Rolling stock / locomotive background and sales experience;
  • Seven (7) years of experience;
  • Local industry knowledge to rolling stock / locomotive sales activities;
  • Cultural understanding of the region;
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills;
  • Demonstrated self-motivation and ability to work independently;
  • Integrity and credibility;
  • Ability to develop cooperative relationships with others;
  • Personal behavior that aligns with company values and image;
  • Ability to create contracts and close the deal;
  • Ability to administer contracts and to influence compliance;
  • Ability to influence others, including key constituencies of: intra-company manufacturing organizations, extra-company partners, suppliers, non-governmental customers, governmental customers, governmental regulatory agencies, employees, financing organizations, other potential customers;
  • Ability to travel as required, extensive international travel will be required.
Preferred:
  • Ability to communicate (speak/read) Arabic is a plus.
