Phunware, a leading mobile technology company based out of Austin, TX, is looking for an Advertising Sales Planner. This position is based in Phunware’s Newport Beach, CA office (near John Wayne Airport) and reports into Phunware’s Audience Engagement and Audience Building sales structure.

Job Summary:

Supporting multiple sellers, the Sales Planner will be directly responsible for pre-sale efforts with brands and agencies. This includes responding to RFPs, being strategic about brand alignments, building thoughtful media plans that media buyers want and delivering it all within tight deadlines. Additionally, you will be heavily involved in the overall sales process (attending meetings, lunches and select industry events) along with the expectation of participation and the cultivation of relationships at the Assistant Planner and Planner levels at the agencies. You will also work very closely with account management, the Phunware in-house creative studio team, publisher development and ad operations.

The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years as an AMP or SA, be highly proficient in the Microsoft Office and Google Drive and have the willingness to always be ready to deliver. This is not a 9-5pm role. In addition, you will have working knowledge of SSP and CRM tools.

Responsibilities:
  • Strategize, brain-storm, create and fulfill request for proposals (RFPs)
  • Assist with pre-sale collateral creation such as one-sheets, case studies and meeting presentations
  • Serve as the liaison between sales and all other departments throughout the internal RFP process
  • Uncover and address client needs while highlighting the value and capabilities of Phunware
  • Proactively monitor the mobile landscape and identify trends/partners for upcoming campaigns
  • Inventory management and auditing
  • Support and evolve internal project management processes and tools
  • Attend and participate in meetings and select industry events
Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of sales/agency planning strategy experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
  • Strong time management and organizational skills to maintain work flow and meet deadlines
  • Enthusiasm and interest in marketing and advertising, passionate about brands and mobile
  • Excellent communication and grammar skills – both verbal and written
  • A solutions-oriented, quick self-starter with the ability to learn and problem solve internally and externally
