Carson Tahoe Health located in Carson City Nevada 30 minutes from Reno and the beautiful Lake Tahoe is currently seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist in prepping patients and the operating room for surgeries under the direction of a surgeon or circulating RN. AS a Surgical Technologist you will also be responsible for preparing and sterilizing reusable instruments, supplies and equipment for use throughout the hospital and inventories, re-stocking and delivering supplies and equipment to all patient care areas.
To be successful in this position the candidate must;
· Have completed a Surgical Technologist training course or have three (3) years of surgical technology experience
· Hold a current BLS/CPR certification
· Obtain a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) certification within one year of hire or at position entry
· Have a at least one years experience with medical supplies, equipment and surgical instruments
· Have knowledge of sterilization techniques, medical instruments and equipment
· Have excellent hearing in order to hear muffled voices over background noise
· Have the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with physicians, nurses, patients and fellow staff members,
· Be able to take call
· Have basic computer skills
