You will supervise all personnel responsible for the maintenance of the equipment, and you will be responsible for all operations and functions within a Diesel Repair Shop. OUTLINE OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following is meant to provide a general overview of the essential job functions of the Fleet Manager position and is not necessarily a complete and exhaustive list. Your duties for this position will include

  • Oversee 8 Mechanics, parts technician, and a data entry clerk; (75 power units running Cummins, C10, C13, and Detroit Engines)
  • Supervision of all equipment maintenance and shop personnel. This includes but is not limited to conducting performance evaluations, equipment training and any disciplinary actions.
  • Responsible for overseeing all required equipment maintenance, and establishing equipment safety and repair programs, in accordance with DOT regulations, and company policies
  • This individual will act as an advisor and manager in regards to all equipment issues and assists the management team with Shop budgets.
  • Set PM and daytime schedules that fit company needs.
  • Review all purchasing and re-negotiate pricing with vendors.
  • Ensure all equipment is inspected on a regular basis / Tracking and coordinating DMV Registrations and Insurance for all equipment. / Develop and maintain measures to ensure security of inventory and equipment.
