The E-commerce Customer Support Agent’s responsibilities include but are not limited to; processing phone email and fax orders, routing orders to USESI locations, responding to online customer inquiries, closing profitable online sales orders, aiding in the processing of ordering placed online, ensuring online customers’ needs are met, following through on commitments to deliver required information, and proper communication of customer’s needs to employees who are fulfilling the e-commerce orders.

RESPONSIBILITIES

•Help Web customers with product selection, identification and troubleshooting via phone, email, live chat, and electronic message boards.
•Support customer use of online software, including password resets, account creation and customer training.
•Assist and resolve customer requests and/or problems in a prompt and professional manner.
•Build quotes for customers, suggesting alternate products when necessary or advantageous.
•Sell products and services, offer add-on and up-sell products that may benefit the customer, and suggest alternative products when a customer-requested product is not available.
•Execute sales effort in an ethical and professional manner that will reflect favorably on the reputation of the company.
•Produce and repurpose technical documentation to assist customers with applications and product selection.
•Work with vendors to improve product content.
•Work with E-Business team to maintain proper product and website content.
•Encourage and assist online customers in creating a B2B account when appropriate.
•Maintain a current library of reference material.
•Maintain knowledge of products and their applications.
•Attend branch/company meetings and events as required. Overnight travel may be necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

•Must have knowledge on Office products such as Word, and Excel.
•Direct and indirect procurement experience.
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
•Ability to effectively communicate at all levels within an organization
•2 or more years of experience in sales/customer service
•Must have entry/medium level knowledge and experience in customer service, and call center software.
•Knowledge of electrical distribution, product applications, and sales experience preferred.
•Technical product support experience preferred.
•Product taxonomy experience preferred.
•High School Diploma required, advanced degree preferred
