The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for assisting in the planning, development, implementation, maintenance and enhancement of test plans, test scripts and test methodologies that ensure exhaustive testing of all assigned software systems to ensure compliance with system specifications as part of project and/or general support work.
  • Ensures exhaustive testing of all assigned software system specifications by assisting in the development, implementation, maintenance and enhancement of requirements, test plans, and test scripts.
  • Assures Quality Assurance best practices are being used by acting as the Quality Assurance lead while participating on project teams.
  • Ensures compliance of enterprise testing methodologies and standards by maintaining and administering HP Quality Center.
  • Conduct interviews to gather user requirements via workshops, business process modeling, use cases, and other elicitation methods. Develop and utilize standard templates to accurately and concisely write requirements specifications. Translate conceptual user requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project team. Work with stakeholders and project team to prioritize collected requirements. Analyze and verify requirements to ensure they are complete, necessary, specific, testable, unambiguous, feasible, and conform to standards.
  • Researches and identifies opportunities to maximize testing capacity, scope and output by developing automated testing platforms and other efficiencies in project and support work where feasible
  • Provides support to end users by delivering training and mentoring support in the use of HP ALM.
  • Maximizes company resources by automating tests using HP Unified Functional Tester– where applicable.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a closely related field with coursework in technology-related subjects and/or equivalent technical training and work experience.
  • ASTQB Certification a plus (or equivalent testing certification)
  • At least 3 years of individual QA/QC testing experience with involvement in the project implementation of technical applications along with good problem solving and analytical skills.
  • At least 2 years of experience using HP ALM or similar industry leading testing tools (administration of HP ALM a plus).
  • At least 1 years of experience with HP Quick Test Professional or Unified Functional Tester.
  • Ability to create systematic and consistent requirements specifications in both technical and user-friendly language.
