JOB SUMMARY:
The Data Analyst position is within the Global IT Portfolio Management Team. Responsibilities are to support a common set of best practices, principles, tools and analytics across all IT aspects, including: projects, enhancements and support functions. This role will utilize standard practices to support IT alignment with business strategies and goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.
  • Work with business partners and IT partners/SME’s to understand data needs; interpret the analytics requirements to design the required supporting data technical solutions; build the supporting data model.
  • Defect tracking and resolution related to data solutions; facilitate creation of implementation plans and activities.
  • Provide support to ensure timely and accurate delivery of data to support user analytics reporting; respond to incidents and requests as assigned; identify root cause of problems stemming from recurring incidents.
  • Identify data validation requirements and coordinate the development, testing and implementation of the related solutions; consult with business and IT partners on data quality issues.
  • Participate in developing and estimating the data requirements portion of projects.
  • Understand and adhere to current standards; identify and participate in continuous improvement activities.
  • Develop and maintain best practices, controls and processes for IT project, program, and portfolio management.
  • Ensure the effective use of IT methodologies for project, program, and portfolio management by providing expert guidance on deliverables, process and approach.
  • Develop and deliver training.
  • Partner with business leaders to understand direction and identify opportunities for business optimization and process improvement.
  • Provide and interpret analytics and metrics to support IT alignment with business strategy.
  • Subject matter expert for resource management and capacity planning.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal customers, IT partners and leadership to ensure a thorough understanding of business and technical objectives.
  • Perform peer (audit) reviews for project and programs.
  • Subject matter expert on PPM tool; troubleshoot and manage open problems.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
  • Three (3) or more years of experience in Data Analysis, Information Technology, or in a related area.
  • Computer analytic and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to communicate with internal/external entities.
  • Proficiency with various web-based software applications including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.
  • Ability to interact with team members while building strong relationship at all levels, across all business units and segments
  • Strong understanding of the business impact of IT tools, technologies, and policies.
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to translate business/technical requirements into data solutions.
  • ServiceNow and SharePoint experience.
  • Experience with IT portfolio managment, project and software lifecycle methodologies.
  • Knowledge of ITIL and COBIT principles and experience with software development lifcycle.
