Family held trucking company based in Lincoln IL is seeking the right individual to fill a dispatch position immediately. The schedule is 3:00pm – Midnight, Monday thru Friday. Also requires one Saturday am each month, and on call the remaining weekend. Seeking an individual that is results driven and detail oriented. Job site is at our main terminal located in Lincoln, Illinois.
Duties include:
~ direct supervision and dispatching of on-duty drivers during shift hours.
~ provide customer service to tracing and tracking inquiries both verbally and electronically.
~ move required paperwork for each load from one driver to the next.
~ match available drivers and equipment with loads.
Skills necessary:
~ excellent communication, both verbally and written.
~ computer knowledge, including excel and email.
~ use of telephone, fax, and copy machine
~ knowledge of the trucking industry
