Job Description
GEICO is searching for a Facilities Engineer for their Indianapolis, Indiana regional office. This candidate will be responsible for the repair, maintenance and installation of HVAC equipment, plumbing, electrical and energy management systems. Candidate must be able to read complex blueprints, piping, schematics and wiring diagrams. Candidate must be able to operate a variety of equipment such as hand tools, computers and test equipment. Job requires lifting, climbing ladders, standing, and operating lift equipment. Job also requires having a flexible schedule. Salary will depend on level of experience.
Some tasks include:
Routine and preventative maintenance as needed for the purpose of ensuring the ongoing functioning of equipment.

Prepare written materials (e.g repair status, activity logs, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities and/or conveying information.

Repair heating and air conditioning systems and/or components (e.g pumps, motors, air handlers, fan coils, piping, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring a comfortable work environment.

Request equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintain inventory and ensuring availability of items required to complete the necessary installation and/or repair.

Respond to emergency situations during or after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.

Work request, setups, move furniture, and perform other duties as assigned.
