We are seeking Express Lube Consultants who can act as a liaison Express Lube Technicians and the guest. Responsible for establishing trust and rapport with guest to accurately ask the appropriate questions to help define the vehicle's problems. Responsible for promoting a positive image of Bergstrom to the guest as well as ensuring guest's vehicle is serviced efficiently and effectively during each visit. Must have valid driver’s license. ESSENTIAL DUTIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Promotes and upholds the 11 Bergstrom Quest Values and Bergstrom Standards.
  • Follows the Service Drive Process during each guest visit.
  • Complete prewrites for each guest appointment.
  • Greets guests in a timely, friendly manner and obtains vehicle information.
  • Writes up guest's vehicle problems accurately and clearly on repair order, by completing walk around.
  • Advise guests on the care of their automobiles and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufacturer's' specifications.
  • Refers to service history, inspects vehicle, and recommends additional needed service.
  • Establishes"promised time."
  • Obtains guest's signature on repair order; provides guest with a copy.
  • Provides a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts.
  • Checks on progress of repair throughout the day. Contacts guests regarding any changes in the estimate or promised time, explains cost and time requirements in detail, and gets proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed.
  • Handles telephone inquiries regarding work in process.
  • Reviews repair orders to ensure that work is completed and additional work and authorization is noted. Closes repair order as appropriate.
  • Explains completed work, all charges to guests, and the MPI.
  • Ensures that all guest dissatisfactions, problems, or major changes are resolved before guest leaves facility.
  • Maintains high guest satisfaction standards; educates on CSI within manufacturer guidelines.
  • Implements a quality control process to eliminate comebacks.
  • Maintains a professional appearance.
  • Keeps work area clean.
MARGINAL DUTIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Keeps service department forms, menus and pricing guides up-to-date.
  • Ensures that vehicles are parked in assigned areas. Makes sure they are locked and all keys are marked and put away correctly.

  • Ability to decipher and calculate numbers and high dollar amounts.
  • Ability to resolve conflict effectively and efficiently.
  • Knowledge of automotive systems and ability to explain systems and repairs to guests of varying levels of technical understanding.
