Day Porter / Lite Duty Maintenance Person Ft. Lauderdale Florida Full time

Tamcare Services a successful commercial cleaning company that has been in business for 22 years is looking for a proactive, self motivated, neat in appearance person to provide Porter service and lite Maintanence at one of our buildings located in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Opportunity for advacement. Full time position with Health benefits, paid vacations and holidays 40 hours per week Monday thru Friday 8am to 4 pm. Overtime avaiable.

Responsibilities :

•Keep outside of property clean, safe and presentable

•Clean and restock restrooms throughout the day

•Clean and maintain all common areas, stairs, entrance lobby and elevator throughout the day

•Provide lite duty maintenance. Painting, repair holes, replace lights, replace broken dispensers and any other required maintenance to maintain building.

•Respond to any emergencies inside tenets office space and common area.

•Communicate with building manager and building tenants.

The successful candidate must have :

•Clean driving record

•The ability to speak, read and write English

•Ability to work with others

•Good communication and organizational skills

•Be able to lift 50 pounds

•The ability to climb stairs and ladder.

•Must have reliable transportation and cell phone.

•Able to work weekends when needed

•Adherence to a drug-free work place and pass background check

•Ability to work alone

•The ability to kneel, set, bend and be on their feet for long periods of time.

The following skills/experience are needed :

•6 months to one (1) year experience. *Trash removal, restroom cleaning, vacuuming, hard surface floor care. And all other duties required in the commercial cleaning industry.

•Knowledge in lite duty maintenance. Painting, light bulb replacement, ceiling tile replacement, sprinkler repair, drywall repair and other lite duty repairs.

•Knowledge in pressure washing .

• The ability and knowledge to operate various machines used in the commercial cleaning and maintenance industry.
