Lot Attendant - Full-time / Part-time

Full-time, entry level, high school diploma, Tuesday-Saturday, multi-task, fast pace environment, check in new vehicles off of the transport truck, prepare new vehicles for the lot, take pictures of new vehicles for the website, prepare new rental vehicles to go into rental fleet, help rental department as needed.

SUMMARY

Verifies receipt of and performs a damage inspection on new vehicles delivered to the dealership. Ensures the lot is clean and vehicles are parked in an organized fashion.

ESSENTIAL DUTIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Promotes and upholds the 11 Bergstrom Guest Service Basics and Bergstrom Standards.
• Compares serial numbers of incoming cars against invoice.
• Inspects vehicles to detect damage and to verify the presence of accessories listed on the invoice.
• Records the description of damages and lists missing items on the delivery receipt.
• Parks new vehicles in assigned areas.
• Catalogs and stores keys.
• Assigns stock control numbers to cars.
• Picks up the trash in the lot daily.
• Keeps entrances and vehicles clear of snow, ice, or other debris.
• Keeps rows of vehicles straight, neat, and orderly.
• Keeps lot cars clean and ready to show.
• Communicates with the Sales Manager about any lot damage and coordinates repairs with the body shop or service department.
• Checks that all lot cars have keys and the lock boxes are locked.
• Moves sold vehicles to maximize use of space and keep the lot in order.
• Delivers sold vehicles to the new-vehicle preparation department.
• Services vehicles in storage to protect tires, battery, and finish against deterioration.
