Job Description:

Resolves overdue account issues by contacting policyholders or mortgage companies when coverage is in jeopardy of cancellation due to non-payment or individual request. This position is the entry-level position in the Payment Assistance Representative Career Path. Incumbent is required to meet advancement requirements within33 months.

Job Requirements:
  • Gathers required information and initiates telephonic and/or written contact with policyholders, mortgage companies, and interested third parties when a coverage is scheduled for cancellation for non-payment.
  • Conducts assessment of current risk and payment history in order to provide a recommendation regarding the desirability of retaining the account, initiating collection efforts as appropriate.
  • Receives inbound calls within ACD unit relating to policy cancellation and past due premiums, attempting to resolve concerns or directing the caller to the appropriate department.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Two years of customer service experience in a financial services environment, or one year of clerical support/processing experience with AFI (Associates Degree may be substituted for this requirement).
  • Excellent verbal communications skills, to include a courteous, confident demeanor and appropriate use of grammar and vocabulary.
  • Ability to complete required insurance education courses within 24 months in the position.
Compensation:

Starting salary $34,500 to $40,000 based on experience
