Requirements & Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years of processing experience, with in-depth understanding of processing, underwriting and closing procedures
• Thorough understanding of current Federal Regulations governing Real Estate lending, as well as Conventional and/or Government lending guidelines
• Working knowledge of FHA and 203K (Renovation, One Time Close, Construction Lending) is a MUST
• Experience working in a referral-based environment
• Demonstrated track record of success in pipeline management and monthly closing volume
• Experience with mortgage origination systems, Encompass is a plus!
• Goal-oriented and comfortable with meeting specified monthly production requirements
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal, organizational and verbal/written communication skills
• Wholesale experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Management of a 40+ loan pipeline
• Review of residential loan application files to verify completion of all materials
• Evaluation of liabilities and risks, employment history, ancillary documents, and other borrower qualification
• Review and verification of documentation integrity to ensure alignment with findings, completeness and compliance, and submit loan files to underwriting for approval
• Serve as the primary point-of-contact for prospective borrowers during the application process
• Coordinate process flow effectively while maintaining a high level of professionalism and quality service with borrowers, internal counterparts, vendors, and various third parties
• Work closely with Loan Officers to ensure a timely and stress-free experience throughout the entire mortgage process
• Stay current with federal and state regulations and industry standards
• Verify compliance with AFR’s internal standards, federal and agency regulations, and any applicable state and/or local guidelines.
