Job Summary:

Managing social business strategy through to implementation is a multi-stage, complex process. We take a business-led, technology-enabled approach to help our customers jump start their social business strategies. And an insiders view of the evolving landscape via our social business consultancy team, the Market Directors, all of whom come from senior strategic positions held both brand and agency side. They enable us to deliver integrated solutions that tap the full range of their consulting and brand marketing experience as well as the capabilities of our technology, training, sales, analytics, creative and enablement teams. They are the expert and point person for all things Spredfast for strategically important regional agency and customer contacts, and are comfortable with business development, speaking at events and have a solid understanding and experience executing enterprise social strategy.

This position will be located remotely anywhere in California with regular travel required to customers and our headquarters in Austin, TX.

Key responsibilities
  • Play a key partner role to Spredfasts Sales Directors throughout the sales cycle - starting in the discovery phase - to identify and scope Services opportunities, build relationships, offer an experienced practitioners perspective to customers and prospects
  • Partner with existing agency contacts to identify new business opportunities.
  • Lead and develop partnership and marketing activities with key agency partners, and act as a strategic advisor to regional agencies in market.
  • Work alongside Sales and Account Management as an expert consultant, leading with strategy to uncover and solve customer challenges
  • Coordinate resources internally to produce full services proposals and SOWs
  • Entrusted with building the Spredfast presence across NA and in their market via tailored prospect and customer events
  • Add value by bringing series of best practices and relevant thought leadership to customers and internal teams
  • Maintain a finger on the pulse of wider social industry trends, as well as the agency and brand ecosystem in their region

  • A people person with the ability to quickly forge strong relationships with internal teams, and maintain them remotely, as well as those teams in their assigned market

  • Good listener with the ability to understand and act on physical and verbal cues and translate them into business opportunities - alongside sales teams
  • Self-starting, proactive, and resourceful
Must Haves:
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
  • Candidates must have a minimum of 7 years experience with at least 3 of those focused on social along with a background in integrated marketing, advertising, social media or digital (either at an agency or brand side)
  • Proven experience managing / rolling out social programs for large enterprises either at an agency or brand
  • Track record of excelling in a multi-threaded environment balancing needs across multiple projects or clients
  • Direct experience with Spredfast, another major SMMS or listening platforms
  • Actively involved in the social community in home city
  • Excellent written, verbal, social media and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to quickly change focus to meet deadlines and special report requests
  • Willing to travel as needed, including regular trips to Spredfast HQ in Austin
