The Sales Representative will report directly to the Regional VP of Sales. Responsible for achieving or exceeding sales goals through effective telemarketing sales and promoting of EdisonLearning’s online eCourses and services to potential new customers within the framework of the organizational policies and directives. The primary focus will be in telephone sales with specific targeted customers to support the growth of the company.
  • Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with focus on obtaining new customers and generating new business for the organization
  • Makes minimum of 100 connected phone calls per day, send appropriate approved email correspondence, pre-written letters and proposals to prospect new business
  • Achieve targeted monthly sales goals consistently
  • Responsible for managing new customer business to up sale and/or renew after for one year
  • Develop a deeper understanding of the schools educational challenges and objectives to appropriately address their needs
  • Manages targeted customer lists and maintain accurate customer files and records in order to have complete up-to-date customer information
  • Mine leads generated by marketing/sales promotions, mailings, eblast and web campaigns to secure new business
  • Promotes/sells/secures new orders from prospective customers through a relationship-based approach
  • Explains products/services to potential customers and assist them in selecting those best suited to their needs
  • Primarily internal sales generated through direct contact via telephone, emails, and letters
  • Must be comfortable speaking with gate keepers to obtain access to Principals, Assistant Principals and Directors of Curriculum and Instruction
  • Plans and organizes personal sales strategy by maximizing the return on time investment on sales activities
  • Self-starter with an infectious desire to succeed and close business
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree required in related field
  • 2 years of professional previous telemarketing phone sales experience required
  • Excellent communication and webinar presentation skills, including writing, speaking
  • Knowledge of CRM software applications; Salesforce, Saleslogic, SugarCRM etc.
  • Fantastic customer service ethic and high expectations for quality and detail
  • Proficient using the latest versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, email and web searches
  • Sales experience in the Educational industry is a plus
