The mission of the Reading Interventionist/Coach is to increase student achievement. The Reading Interventionist/Coach will strengthen the school's literacy program by providing interventions to students and professional development to teachers which utilize proven research based techniques.
Primary Responsibilities
The Reading Interventionist is required to create lesson plans using data weekly, communicate with students and parents regularly. The Reading Interventionist/Coach will participate in literacy professional development as opportunities become available. The Reading Interventionist/Coach will work with small groups of students to provide support to improve foundational skills needed to be successful in reading courses.

Qualifications
Valid Florida teaching certificate
Bachelor's degree or higher preferably with a concentration in mathematics
Minimum of five (3) years successful teaching experience working in high school environment Knowledge of current research and best practices in English
