The American Chemistry Council (ACC), a national trade association representing the world’s leading chemical and plastics manufacturers, currently has an opportunity for Coordinator for its Chemical Products and Technology (CPT) division located in Washington, D.C. ACC represents its members on public policy issues; coordinates the industry’s research and testing programs; and administers Responsible Care®, the industry’s environment, health, safety and security performance improvement initiative.

This position is responsible for supporting designated staff with administrative, financial and issue management services provided to groups within the CPT division. The position directly supports select CPT groups and overall CPT operations, including management of assigned task groups, projects, websites, systems and operations and reports directly to the Vice President, CPT.

Required qualifications include Bachelor’s degree and at least three years’ work experience; working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access, as well as SharePoint and other extranet platforms as well as experience designing and managing webinars. Strong written and oral communication skills, the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks, work independently and efficiently, with minimal supervision, exercise sound judgment as well as handle sensitive and confidential information are a must. Trade association and/or public policy experience as well as demonstrated accounting and budget experience, knowledge of chemical or related industry are preferred.
