Position Description: Participate in cross-functional strategic planning and provide subject matter expertise for Phase 0 steady state Humanitarian Assistance/ Disaster Relief (HA/DR) activities being conducted throughout the U.S. Pacific Command (USPACOM) Area of Responsibility. The ideal candidate shall provide data collection and data management, analysis and metric reporting, communications and change management support. This analysis must include key stakeholder input into Phase 0 design, planning, and execution of Operations, Actions, and Activities from components, Direct Reporting Units, the USPACOM staff, and other key stakeholders not in the Department of Defense in support of the All Hazards Directorate.
The ideal candidate will possess an active TS/SCI clearance, have demonstrate in-depth knowledge of joint planning doctrine and methods coupled with strong credentials in analysis and exceptional organizational, planning, networking, and writing skills.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience as a DoD joint planner
- 3 years of experience with HADR planning
- Knowledge of the DoD’s Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process
- Ability to communicate well orally and in writing, particularly in the preparation of technical documents and briefings
- Ability to use common office software with ease, including word processors, spreadsheets, presentation, and Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- TS/SCI clearance
- BA or BS degree
Additional Qualifications:
- 8 years of experience as a DoD joint planner
- 5 years of experience in Civil Military Operations, HADR Planning, Defense Support to Civil Authorities
Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
