Dungarvin Oregon, a national provider of support services for people with developmental disabilities is seeking a Direct Support Professional Float (DSPF)/Caregiver in the Eugene/Springfield area.
We are seeking positive, dependable, organized, and energetic candidates with good decision making skills and the desire to assist the people we support reach their goals and lead a high quality of life.

This position requires flexibility. The DSPF will fill in for staff on PTO (paid time off), LOA (leave of absence), open positions (until filled), etc. DSPF staff must be available to work different shifts/days depending upon the need.

You will provide assistance with activities of daily living such as:

" Community activities and outings
" Cooking
" Shopping
" Positive Behavior Supports
" Basic life skills coaching
" Medication administration
" Personal hygiene
" Personal cares
" Bathing
" Changing clothes
" Household duties

Successful candidate will also have computer experience and possess good oral and written communication skills. Some experience in social, human services, care-giving or medical field is desired but not required. Dungarvin provides paid on the job training.

Some sites require an ability to work with people with challenging behaviors and implementing a behavioral support plan.

This is a 30 hour (minimum) per week position. Starting wage is $14.01 and moves to $14.40 after three month orientation period. Other benefits include regular increases, generous benefits and paid time off, and extensive on-the-job training.

Requirements Applicants must be 18+ years of age, have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, ability to pass criminal background check, and a HS diploma or a GED to apply. Experience working with people with developmental disabilities required.
