Under the direction of the Sales Manager, the Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business and managing established customer accounts. This position examines customer businesses in order to provide them with the solutions that best meet the needs of their company. The Sales Representative is the main point of contact for our customers.

  • Market within assigned territory: attend networking events, initiate mailings, promote and attend trade shows, provide product introductions
  • Make an appropriate amount of calls to potential new businesses in order to secure appointments with the decision-making individuals
  • Demonstrate equipment to customers that provide best suits their needs
  • Close sales, gather all detailed information, and develop a sales plan
  • Maintain accurate records of existing and prospective client information
  • Maintain relationships with current customers by follow-up contact and consultation after the sale
  • Perform business reviews with clients on a scheduled basis
  • Make proposals to expand customer service and equipment placements/upgrades
  • Resolve customer issues, as needed
  • Create a weekly activity plan, which is reviewed with the Sales Manager
  • Ensure that all customer equipment is installed as agreed and train customer how to effectively use all the features of the equipment
  • Work with the collections department to assist with customer payments, as needed
  • Turn in customer orders promptly and filled out completely with all required signatures
  • Maintain knowledge regarding competitors’ products
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned
