Our Opportunity:

The Senior Analyst SAP Basis / HANA DB Administration is responsible for advising on architectural, technical and business-impacting issues, as well as leading projects to implement changes in the environment. The Senior Analyst SAP Basis / HANA DB Administration may also be responsible for leading the day-to-day support of all SAP components. Duties may also include the execution of installations, patches, upgrades, system tuning, and production support as necessary. The Senior Analyst SAP Basis / HANA DB Administration is responsible for developing, implementing, and executing SAP BASIS / HANA DB policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and availability of SAP systems in support of the SAP applications. The Senior Analyst SAP Basis / HANA DB Administration will participate in 24x7 on-call rotation.

In This Role the Senior Analyst SAP Basis / Hana Will:
  • Provide technical (hands on) support for project and/or operational issues, for all SMG platforms.
  • Conduct performance tuning methods for Oracle, HANA and SAP.
  • Perform configuration, analysis and troubleshooting of both ABAP and Java stacks.
  • Backup and recover using Oracle and HANA.
  • Provide knowledge transfer to other members of the team.
  • Perform system refreshes for QA, development, and training systems.
  • Manage, plan, schedule, coordinate, and perform Quality Audits to ensure that Scotts’ standards are followed in all Basis work performed by the Basis and Infrastructure administrators.
  • Manage and support multiple landscapes.
The Perfect Person Will Have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science or Management Information Systems.
  • Minimum four years of experience in Basis and HANA database administration.
  • Experience performing SAP System and HANA database install, upgrades, EhP upgrades, System Refreshes and System & Client Copies.
  • Good understanding of SAP architecture for failover capability.
  • Experience performing SDA Configuration in HANA DB with other data sources.
  • Experience in HANA database monitoring and troubleshooting memory and other technical issues.
  • Good understanding of HANA DB performance, HA, DR and scalability.
  • Experience performing SAP HANA Administration including creation and management of schemas for different SAP systems, data model objects, and import/export content.
  • Experience installing and configuring data provisioning tools such as SAP SLT, BODS and DXC.
  • Experience installing and configuring Nearline Storage system for BW system.
  • Ability and skills to setup standard SAP jobs to maximize system resources.
  • Performed transactional tracing and tuning for the online and batch users.
  • Experience designing optimal configurations for multiple application servers.
  • Handled the many different requirements of R/3, BW, PLM, Portal, SRM, eWM, HR.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, as well as follow through.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, strong customer service, and communication skills.
  • Ability to learn newer SAP technological components.
  • Strong perseverance abilities in the face of challenges and an ability to deal with conflicts constructively.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills and abilities to handle changing priorities in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
  • Proven SAP systems delivery and/or system administration knowledge across the suite of major SAP applications versions like SAP R/3, ECC-6.0, eWM, Netweaver 2004S (BW & Portal), Solution Manager-7.x, SRM, BPC, SAP Business Objects, SAP NW Gateway, GRC, and PLM Systems.
  • Experience on Solution Manager-7.x SAP Basis level configuration experience on ChaRM E2E monitoring of ABAP and Java stacks, Service Desk.
