The Lead Driver on 2nd shift will provide support for the 2nd shift drivers and business. This position will perform the work of a customer delivery rep over 50% of the time. This position will ensure that customer needs are met through utilizing appropriate day-to-day allocation of people, equipment and assets of Transportation. Works with the management and dispatch team, customers, and Lube-Tech personnel to prioritize tasks and assign resources cost effectively to meet the customers’ needs. Help ensure that work completed meets our business objectives related to safety and quality

Responsibilities:
  • Function within the guidelines of the Lube-Tech“Team Ground Rules” and Mission Statement
  • Act as a“goodwill ambassador” of Lube-Tech with each and every customer, to uphold the professional company reputation
  • Supervise day to day activities while meeting efficiency goals
  • Provide input on routing and capacity, maximizing driver productivity
  • Lead 2nd shift drivers and provide guidance with customer service
  • Work with the operations team to develop delivery routes and schedules, providing suggestions for the most efficient delivery
  • Communicate operational feedback and concerns to the team for resolution
  • Review, analyze and adapt to KPIs
  • Various projects as assigned by manager
  • Operate under and follow all DOT and FMCSR rules
  • Emergency response
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:

Education:High School Degree

Experience and/or Training: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in operations, preferably in transportation, logistics and/or petroleum.

Licenses/Certificates:

• Current class B CDL with tanker and hazmat endorsements
  • Class A preferred

    Technology/Equipment:Must have knowledge and experience with Microsoft applications such as Office, Excel, and Word. Must be flexible in learning new hardware and software applications.

    Schedule:Must be flexible with hours

    Travel: Local to customers if necessary

    Physical& Mental Demands:

    This is a physical job requiring frequent walking, ability to get in and out of the truck several times a day, climbing customer’s equipment and standing while filling equipment. The employee must have the ability to perform basic math. This position requires the ability to lift hoses and/or fittings weighing up to 50 lbs. and pull a hose weighing approximately 50 - 100 lbs. The mental and physical requirements described here are the representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

    Working Environment:

    This position requires the driver to be in attendance during the entire process working in various weather conditions while loading and unloading the truck along with making deliveries. This position will also occasionally be required to sit in an office environment working with the operations team. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an individual encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.
