Position Summary

Maintenance Crew Members ensure Mechanical Operational Excellence at all locations by covering all on call maintenance tasks. Working closely with the Maintenance Director, Night Maintenance Crew Members, Area Directors and General Managers; Maintenance Crew Members will troubleshoot and resolve all emergency maintenance requests (safety, shutdown, and quality) that are assigned to them.
Maintenance Crew Members will take ownership in their assigned tasks by doing whatever it takes to ensure Mechanical Operational Excellence. Maintenance Crew Members report directly to the Maintenance Director.

2) Create a Safety Conscious Culture and Provide a Safe Work Environment You are responsible for the safety of your team and our customers at each of your respective locations.


-Cultivate a Safety First attitude with your teams Continually monitor and discuss safe work practices and principles; set an example by always working in a safe manner and wearing proper PPE; continually be on the lookout for any potential hazards and provide your management teams with feedback; issue safety violations when safety policies and guidelines are not being followed.


-Provide On Call Support Companywide
Field On Call Support Line Phone Calls During scheduled on call times you will be responsible for fielding phone calls from locations companywide to provide assistance in the case of a shutdown or major issue involving quality or safety.
Complete on Site Repairs Assist with completion of all necessary repairs that arise during on call shifts that require action within 7 days or less

-Assist other maintenance crew members - as needed assist other crew members to ensure repairs are completed safely and in a timely fashion

-Location Production / Staffing Support - Fill the voids in location schedules as needed. (Illness, injury, vacation, etc.) Assist other locations when other Maintenance Crew Members are not available. During high customer volume, you may be needed to help out in production.


4) Maintain Operational Excellence Companywide


-Conduct quality checks While at locations complete at least 1 quality check per week and provide feedback and assistance to location to ensure we optimize wash quality.
Communicate all completed repairs or needed repairs Communicate all repairs to each location in a timely fashion.
Proactively address potential issues Continually work towards identifying potential issues companywide through routine visual inspections of equipment and wash quality and constantly looking for ways to improve mechanical excellence.

-Facilitate Standardization Implementation and Compliance

-Assist in Standards Establishment Assist in establishing standard equipment set-up; work with ADs to ensure that all locations comply.

-Manage Parts on Hand Maintain Maintenance Van and City Parts on Hand Guidelines, and assist locations with Location Parts on Hand Guidelines. Communicates to AD locations level of compliance with parts on hand guidelines. Communicate to the Maintenance Director updates as needed to the parts on hand and tools on hand guidelines for the maintenance vans, city parts and location.

6) Conduct Management Maintenance Training


-Conduct Maintenance Training Conduct a minimum of 1 hour per week of maintenance training courses and/or one-on-one training with managers.

-Assist with training documentation and materials Provide assistance in creating and updating maintenance training material.

-Participate on Maintenance Review Boards Participate as requested and communicate to the Maintenance Director any updates that are needed.

- Communicate to the Maintenance Director any updates needed to the preventive maintenance checklists.


7) Optimize Mechanical Operational Excellence Companywide


-Communicate all completed repairs or needed repairs Communicate all repairs to each location in a timely fashion.
Reduce Wash Downtime Review Wash Shutdown Reports each month; evaluate causes of downtime and generate a game plan for preventing similar breakdowns in the future. Discuss your findings and game plan with the Maintenance Director.
Maximize Vendor Relations Identify and communicate any opportunities to improve on quality and price to the maintenance director.
-Planning - Attend all Maintenance Meetings.


-Maintenance Crew Work Schedule Guidelines In order to successfully meet the expectations and responsibilities of this position, you will need to meet the following scheduling guidelines:

-Schedule** - You will average 45 hours per week, working 5 days a week, shifts will primarily be 4am-1pm or 10pm-7pm. Routine On call shifts will be required.

-Weekly 5 / 15 e-form and updated work log - You will prepare a 5/15 e-form and updated work log each week. The 5/15 e-form is used to communicate any issues to your MD and the updated work log is completed and emailed to your MD/GMs by the end of your work day on Friday. The updated work log highlights your accomplishments that week and goals for the coming week.
