Responsibilities
Seek out work and jobs (commercial and residential; ground-up, renovation, & addition) open for bid in northern NJ area
Review plans, specs, bid documents, and perform site visits
Perform detailed takeoff
Generate any necessary RFI's for architect, engineer, etc.
Obtain pricing from specified material distributors as called for by plans
Utilize up-to-date, region-specific labor, material, and equipment costs from preferred reference source (RS Means, etc.)
Bid trade work out to subcontractors
Prepare detailed bid and submit/present when necessary
Maintain open lines of communication with project managers throughout bidding process
Requirements
Must have experience in construction estimating
Must have knowledge of job listing resources
Must have knowledge and proficiency in cost-estimating data resources
Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel
