Medical and Billing Specialist - Full-time / Part-time

This full-time position will join our billing team and will be working side by side with other billing staff reviewing patient's daily visits, assigning the correct ICD-10-CM and CPT codes with modifiers for billing and reimbursement, entering information into the billing software, submitting claims, appling payments and follow up of any denied claims. This position will be responsible for coding medical, psychiatry, psychology, neurology, endocrinology, audiology, podiatry, ophthalmology, dietary, and therapeutic services.

Responsibilites and Duties

• Code all patient visits daily
• Submit primary and secondary insurance claims to insurance companies
• Follow up on denials and appeals
• Post charges and payments
• Ensure record accuracy and make necessary revisions
• Obtain prior authorizations
• Work with patient's guardian on financial questionnaire
• Generate daily, monthly and yearly reports

Qualifications and Skills

• Certified Coder (RHIT, CPC, CCS-P)
• Minimum of 2 years coding and reimbursement
• Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, MCO and Commercial Insurances
• Strong Organizational Skills
• Ability to Multi-task
• Medical terminology
• Strong Computer Skills
• Execellent Communication Skills
