DUTIES
Based at the L.A. Care Family Resource Center (FRC) assigned location site, the Family Resource Center Administrator is responsible for providing hands-on leadership and managing the full general operations of the center. Operations include programming, personnel, facilities, security and member services. The Administrator will be responsible for establishing measurable goals and outcomes for the center in collaboration with the Center Manager and to explore exciting and innovative opportunities and partnerships with community based organizations (CBO's) within the geography surrounding the center. Responsible for the collection and synthesis of quantitative and qualitative information and evaluative tracking data on center activities. Assist in the planning, outreach and creation of partnerships related to center events and offerings to increase awareness in the surrounding community. Serves as the liaison/ ambassador to internal and external clients/community partnerships.

The Administrator is responsible for all aspects of staff supervision to include creating a motivating and energized work environment through strong leadership, communication and organizational skills. Effectively manages resources to ensure appropriate and efficient utilization and maintains direct responsibility for the Center's activities calendar. Directly responsible for the central coordination of all activities ensuring information flow to and from the center and home office. Collaborates with Finance to ensure the fiscal integrity of projects and activities. Contributes to the development of the center's operational and capital budgets and monitors for compliance and participates in the negotiation of and monitoring of contracts and subcontracts related to the center and center activities. The Administrator will report directly to the Family Resource Centers Manager in L.A. Care's home office on all Center-related projects and activities.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION
Required:
High School Diploma

Preferred:
Associate's, Bachelor's, or Master's Degree in relevant health, business, social or behavioral discipline.

EXPERIENCE
Required:
With High School Diploma: At least 6-8 years of experience with planning community health-focused events and in managing simple to complex projects, preferably in the managed care field with at least 2 years of progressive supervisory/ management experience and demonstrated ability to effectively and efficiently allocate resources.

Experience working with ethnically diverse populations in a community setting.
Health education experience and/or able to identify and manage external health education resources.
Solid knowledge of health care and various managed care product lines (Medi-Cal, Healthy Families, HMO), as well as basic public health and community health principles.
Familiarity with health data analysis and collection.
High degree of initiative, a self starter and the ability to work with minimum supervision.
Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of a diverse team.
Flexibility regarding hours to meet the business needs of the center, which may require weekends and evenings.
Intermediate skills in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database programs preferred.

Preferred:
With Associate's Degree: At least 5 years of experience with planning community health-focused events and in managing simple to complex projects, preferably in the managed care field with at least 2 years of progressive supervisory/ management experience and demonstrated ability to effectively and efficiently allocate resources.

With Bachelor's Degree: At least 3-5 years of experience with planning community health-focused events and in managing simple to complex projects, preferably in the managed care field with at least 2 years of progressive supervisory/ management experience and demonstrated ability to effectively and efficiently allocate resources.

With Master's Degree: At least 2 years of experience with planning community health-focused events and in managing simple to complex projects, preferably in the managed care field with at least 2 years of progressive supervisory/ management experience and demonstrated ability to effectively and efficiently allocate resources.

Prior work experience managing nonprofit/ social services, specifically in the area of government funded programs, preferred.
Experience with building a service or start up health program would be a plus.
