Public Sector Inside Sales Support Representative (ISR)

Position Summary

We are currently seeking an experienced Public Sector Inside Sales Support Representative (ISR) with a desire for success as part of our sales strategy. The ideal candidate will be located in our Port Washington, NY Headquarters. The ISR will be responsible for supporting the sales efforts of our outside sales executives. This position reports to the Inside Sales Support Supervisor. The successful candidate will have the experience and a proven track record of IT sales support. She/he will be responsible for meeting and/or exceeding individual performance objectives as established by your manager.

Position Responsibilities
  • Providing excellent customer service to our clients
  • Researching software/hardware options in accordance with customer requirements
  • Creating detailed price quotations to assist both customers with creating requisitions and team members with processing purchase orders
  • Resolving issues regarding returns, customer dissatisfaction, download issues, shipping discrepancies, order and invoicing back ups
  • Offering suggestions to streamline procedures to management and to individual team members
  • Continuing to grow in the knowledge of customer needs to better assist with making recommendations
  • Accurately entering orders, paying close attention to detail in emails, on orders, and on vendor quotes, responding to customers/vendors in timely fashion, working with a sense of urgency
  • Working with the management team to institute processes and procedures that drive individual sales
  • Working with internal departments to ensure customer transactions are processed accurately and efficiently
  • Offering assistance to take on the work of team members in their absence
  • Meeting and/or exceeding individual performance metrics
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must have a minimum 3+ years of business-to-business experience preferably in sales support
  • Must have previous experience working in Public Sector/ SLED
  • Must have previous experience working in the IT Industry
  • Experience working for a company that was a "VAR" Value Added Reseller or a company that offered multi vendor Hardware and Software solutions
  • Excellent data entry and account management skills
  • Outstanding skills in sales operations, planning, and time management skills
  • Working knowledge of the client procurement processes including knowing key decision criteria for winning new and or maintaining existing business
  • An understands company's sales tools and processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong presentation, and executive presence skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast paced and constantly changing environment
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team
  • Ability to build customer loyalty with strong customer presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and NetSuite (Preferred)
