3D Print Sales Executive

Position Summary

We are currently seeking a dynamic and aggressive senior 3D Print Sales Executive in the Greater New York Area with a desire for success as part of our growth strategy. The Sales Executive will be responsible for achieving individual IT sales goals and develop short and long term 3D Printer sales pipeline to support growth plan. Use Additive Manufacturing and 3D printing expertise to seek out new opportunities for customer value by expanding and enhancing existing opportunities to build the pipeline in and drive pursuit in 3D Printing. The successful candidate will have the experience and a proven track record of individual 3D Print solution sales. She/he will be responsible for meeting and/or exceeding individual performance objectives as established by the sales director. This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.

Position Responsibilities
  • Meets and/or exceeds individual IT technology and services sales quotas
  • Work with the management team to institute processes and procedures that drive individual sales
  • Creates and grows reference customers
  • Sell complex products or solutions to customers on a partnership basis. May act as a dedicated resource to a few strategic accounts.
  • Establish a professional, working, and consultative, relationship with the client, including the C-level for mid-to-large accounts by developing a core understanding of the unique business needs of the client within their industry.
  • Maintain and use overall cross-portfolio knowledge to support account leads with integration of solutions.
  • Contribute to enduring executive relationships that establish companies’ consultative professionalism and promote its total solution capabilities.
  • Maintains expertise on 3D Printing at all levels - prototyping, manufacturing, new applications, maintenance, typical budgets of the CIO's, typical objectives, measures, metrics.
  • Maintains broad market and competitor knowledge to ensure credibility with Customer Executives.
  • Assist in staffing industry trade events.
  • Understands the difference between transactional and solutions based sales model
  • Accurately forecast annual, quarterly and monthly revenue stream in accordance with your annual quota.
  • Ensure that the CRM is kept accurate and up-to-date.
  • Demonstrate strong people and business leadership skills.
Required Experience:
  • At least 10 years of related sales experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in selling AM/RP/3DP
  • Prior solution selling experience includes multiple, diverse set of selling responsibilities
  • Previous directly related Additive Manufacturing / Rapid Prototyping, 3D Printing Cap-Ex commercial sales experience
  • Demonstrated achievement of progressively higher quota diversity of business customer, and higher level customer interface
  • Experience in Design and R&D a plus
  • Experience in Manufacturing techniques and processes a plus
  • Successful track record in developing new business opportunities
Required Education, Knowledge & Abilities:
  • 4-yr Bachelor Degree or equivalent in directly related field (Preferred)
  • Viewed as expert in AM/RP/3DP by company and customer
  • Considered a mentor of selling 3D strategy, including designing strategy
  • Project management skills required
  • Outstanding skills in sales leadership, strategic planning and personnel management
  • Excellent communication, presentation and executive presence skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Highly competitive and self-motivated with the ability to deliver results quickly
  • Ability to uncover customer needs and recognize new solution opportunities
  • Understands benchmarking process and requirements from both customer and company point of view
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends, associated solutions, and key partner/ISV solution
