About this job

Sell specialty building products to existing clients and establish new business within the commercial construction industry. A subsidiary of A.H. Harris & Sons, Kenseal is an established firm and the nation’s premier source for commercial sealant and waterproofing products and solutions. Position is in our Long Island City NY distribution center at 21-32 Borden Ave. (Please apply online). Full-time, Monday-Friday, day shift.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and grow an existing book of business as well as acquire new business customers. Book of business is shared with several other Inside Sales Account Managers on an especially close team.
  • Manage entire sales cycle from identifying need and qualifying opportunity to proposing solution and closing the deal.
  • Support the region by servicing will-call customers and answering phones, in collaboration with other inside rep.
  • Help support Outside Sales Reps when they are especially busy or on the road by checking on inventory, entering customer orders into ERP system, etc.
  • Collaborate with all team members, including operations coordinator, material handlers and drivers to help ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment and delivery.
  • Strive to meet or exceed territory target specific to inside team (commission paid). Endeavor to support distribution center at large and assist Outside Sales team (region bonus paid).
  • Help ensure customers deliver the best solutions to their projects by providing product related expertise and performing product "pull tests". Maintain relationships with vendors, participate in lunch and learns, attend product demos, etc.
  • Ensure current and easily accessible records of customer interactions by entering data into CRM system (Pipeline Deals).
  • Position reports to directly to Regional Sales Director.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a sales and/or customer service environment.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with frequent walk-in customers and busy phone lines.
  • HS Diploma required, Bachelor degree preferred.
  • Experience with a CRM and ERP or strong aptitude to learn computer systems.
  • Familiarity with building product materials or the ambition to learn about them.
  • Willingness to undergo criminal background check and drug test at time of hire.
