Based upon Kastle’s growth in the market, we are seeking a Business Development Manager, K12, responsible for the K12 Market.

To be successful, the Business Development Manager must be cognizant of the dynamics within the school market served and understand the client’s security requirements. The Business Development Manager, K-12 will instill in the client a clear understanding of the Company’s value proposition and offer systems and services to meet the client’s needs.

  • Generate sales that meet or exceed established goals
  • Identify and cultivate long-term business relationships with K-12 Private School Principals, IT Directors, Facility Directors, School Consultants, and Architects and GC’s involved in K-12 projects.
  • Develop and plan account strategies that provide the greatest opportunity to make sales.
  • Design security systems that meet the client’s needs.
  • Write proposals, conduct presentations, and demonstrate Company’s systems, services and value proposition.
  • Maintain an ongoing sales pipeline that accurately summarizes the current status of prospects and leads
  • Participate in scheduled sales meetings
  • Identify, research, analyze, and communicate competitive sales strategies.
  • Participate in key industry associations and events to increase awareness of the Company’s brand and favorably position the Company to targeted clients within the community.
  • Perform physical surveys of K-12 school premises such as existing and under-construction sites, parking garages, public spaces, internal rooms and roofs.
  • Maintain a neat, professional appearance.
  • Takes initiative; highly driven individual
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum 8 years sales experience preferred in the K-12 Private School Market in DC/VA/MD.
  • Demonstrated outstanding sales skills to commercial clients at the executive level.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of the K-12 School market and construction a plus
  • Demonstrated track record of closing sales of complex systems or services with protracted sales cycles within the managed security industry.
  • Must be willing to participate in and pass the company’s pre-employment screening process including a background investigation, drug screening and driving record.
  • Must continue to maintain a safe driving record and valid driver’s license to fulfill the travel requirements of this position.
  • Must be able to meet and continue to meet state licensing requirements for security.
  • Must be able to meet client background and suitability screening when required to access client’s data and/or site.
  • Outstanding written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Experience with sales force automation systems such as Microsoft’s CRM a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with little direct supervision.
  • Ability to work well under pressure
