Job Description

Assistant Manager, Deli

Responsibilities:

· The Deli Assistant Manager performance and/or supervision includes, but is not limited to the following job positions:

o Front serving line/counter

o Back /Production area

o Kitchen/Catering area

· The Deli Assistant Manager must be able to coach and lead the employees. He must be able to lead by example and drive the business through outstanding customer service. Here at Tony’s Seafood, our customers are #1 and you must be able to inspire the employees to deliver an outstanding customer experience.

· The job is not an easy one. You must be a multi-tasker. One who can “think on your feet”. The Deli Assistant Manager hires, evaluates, trains, disciplines, and/or fires staff and is responsible for the overall effectiveness of their area of responsibility within the operation.

Job Requirements:

· High energy and customer service oriented managers

· Monitors and performs all deli operations to ensure the quality of product and customer service.

· Monitoring includes but is not limited to: Employee job performance, Food and Labor costs, budgets and sales, compliance with operational rules and regulations, food preparation, storage, inventory, and presentation, vendor invoices and the food ordering system

· Analyzes deli and executes conformance to health standards

· Oversees the training of deli employees

· Interviews job applicants

· Rectifies customer complaints and employee problems

· Maintains documentation in employee personnel files

· When needed, must be able to perform all duties of all employees in the deli

· Operates a computer and associated software, to include but not limited to, Positouch, MS Office, Internet

Qualification/Requirements:

· Proven leadership experience

· Ability to develop and motivate a team of up to 40 employees

· Ability to read, count and write to accurately complete all documentation.

Essential Physical Requirements:

· Ability to communicate with employees and guests.

· Ability to freely access all areas of the store including selling floor, stock area, and register area.

· Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run the store.

· Ability to climb ladders.

· Ability to move or handle merchandise throughout the store generally weighing 0-50 pounds.

· Ability to work varied hours/days to oversee store operations.
