Product Merchandising Specialist Lead

Woodgrain Distribution, a national distributor of building material products has an opening for a Full Time Product Merchandising Lead. This position will be based in Dallas/Fort Worth area, but requires occasional overnight travel on an as needed basis around the state, Oklahoma, and Arkansas for servicing our national account customer.

This position requires SIGNIFICANT CONTINUOUS HEAVY LIFTING OF BUILDING MATERIAL PRODUCTS UP TO 50LBS THROUGHOUT THE DAY. It also requires pushing and pulling HEAVY carts of product.

This position will include but is not limited to the following:

· Stocking- this includes multiple hours of heavy lifting to safely stock heavy product

· Inventory management- manage customer inventory to a set directive

· Resets- adding new product lines and adjusting current lines to POG

· POP maintenance- cleaning and or replacing Point of Purchase materials

· Provide training- including new hires and continuous training to established teams

· Coverage- providing coverage for vacations, sick leave, and schedule vacancies

Preferred Candidates will possess the following skills:

· Strong communications skills both written and verbal

· Leadership, training, and team building experience

· Mechanically inclined, including the ability to safely work with hand and power tools

· Spatially aware, including the ability to visualize product placement and necessary adjustments

· Proficient with electronic ordering devices and basic knowledge of computer programs such as Outlook, Excel, Adobe PDF, and Word

· Ability to read and follow directions of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)

· Ability to travel including overnight and out of town visits no longer than 5 days per trip

· Undergraduate degree or higher (substitute would include 1-3 years relevant job experience)

Qualified Candidates MUST possess the following:

· Eligibility to be employed in the United States

· Valid driver’s license

· Proof of automobile liability insurance

· Reliable transportation (as work locations may be out of the range of other forms of transportation)

· Ability to work partially unsupervised in the field

Compensation can be up to $640 weekly
