Job Description
Basic Functions:
· The basic function of the Office Assistant/Retail Associate is to provide support to the private retail store, Office Manager and Sales Team as needed. Able and willing to follow instructions but also a self-starter who can recognize, prioritize and complete tasks without constant supervision. Attention to detail, excellent organizational skills and multi-tasking must. Retain various product/program knowledge. Maintain a positive attitude and help others when time permits. Requires someone outgoing and energetic who is able to work as part of a team and equally well independently.
Primary Duties:
· Duties will be split into primarily two categories throughout various parts of the day to accommodate the typical daily flow of clients and the respective workload.
I. Retail Associate Duties
· Assist customers with selection of uniform merchandise.
· Take clothing measurements as needed
· Must be able to move boxes around, receive in inventory and restock sales floor
· Repetitive lifting is required – 5+ lbs up to 40lbs
· Must be able to bend/stand repeatedly throughout day
· Verify customers’ personal information and ring up transactions
· Assist in inventory control when required
· Make outbound phone calls to notify customers of orders ready for pick-up
II. Office Assistant Duties
· Contact customers directly regarding various ordering questions/issues
· Proof orders for accuracy.
· Attend company sponsored meetings as required.
· Assist in office and on location in uniform fittings (obtain customer measurements); some travel within DFW Metroplex required
· Maintain a positive attitude and help others when time permits.
· Continue to learn various aspects of the sales office and assist as needed
Requirements
· Eighteen (18) years of age or older on or before hire date.
· Minimum education of a High School diploma or GED; some college preferred
· Professional appearance, dependability and flexibility.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Demonstrated proficiency with basic PC applications, Windows environment, accessing the Internet and E-mail.
· Prior customer service experience/Retail experience
· Pleasant-speaking voice, good articulation, rate of speed and ability to be clear and concise.
· Ability to problem-solve and follow standard operating procedures
· Occasional Saturday ( 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.) required (typically once a month on a rotating schedule)
