Merchandising Assistant

We are looking for a Merchandising Assistant to join our team! You will be responsible for coordinating and supporting daily functions for the Merchandising/Buying team.

Responsibilities:

• Support all daily functions and overall needs of the Merchandising department
• Compile and create new purchase orders through Excel and backend admin database
• Track and manage PO Receivables with receiving team to ensure timeliness of all deliverables
• Process and activate all incoming inventory with high regard for accuracy in cost, MSRP and product details
• Spearhead on sample and inventory management and serve as point of contact for all samples merchandise
• Manage the organization and accuracy of the sample room to adhere to company standards by brand, category and seasonality
• Proactively initiate development inquiries with vendors for new styles and reorders across our private labels
• Contributing to the product development process with relaying comments, feedback and approvals to vendors
• Support and present new merchandise product knowledge to the Styling team on a weekly basis
• Contribute to implementing new system practices to increase productivity of department
• Successfully work with cross-functional departments such as Operations, Marketing, Styling and Accounting
