SERVICE TECHNICIAN (RESIDENTIAL, COMMERCIAL & LIGHT INDUSTRIAL)
SUMMARY:
- Are you a driven and inspiring individual looking to work with one of the most progressive and innovative electrical contractors in Maryland? We are in need of experienced electrical service technicians to work within our service division, working with a talented team of industry professionals. We are looking for motivated individuals who are ready to be challenged and hit the ground running.
JOB DUTIES:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, and ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes.
- Work from ladders, scaffolds, or roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
- Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
- Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
- Test electrical systems or continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using testing devices, such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, or oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
- Use a variety of tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment, such as oscilloscopes, ammeters, or test lamps.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Highly motivated, team-player with ethical values an a respectful demeanor
- 4+ years of residential or commercial service experience
- Journeyman or Master license preferred
- Basic computer skills including MS Outlook, MS Excel, Adobe
- Excellent communications skills
COMPENSATION:
- $500 sign on bonus if hired!
- Starting hourly rate of $22/hr - $30/hr depending on experience and proven skill level
