Manufacturing Shift Leader (2nd & 3rd Shift Positions Available)

Job Responsibilities Include:

• Maintains strong knowledge of all plant functions and an ability to function in all plant roles as needed.
• Acts as an E1 System Super User for all plant roles.
• Participates in the performance evaluation process for each associate on the shift.
• Holds all associates accountable for maintaining GFSI, Clean/Bright/White, and DDW policy
• Handles minor disciplinary issues, escalates more serious issues and reports all issues to the production manager.
• Ensures all communication between the departments are timely and accurate.
• Documents and supports root cause analysis for issues that occur on the shift.
• Maintains appropriate communication with all shifts.
• Maintains a daily shift log of all issues for the communication to managers.
• Successfully fill gaps in staffing within the plant as needed.
• Maintain a team environment and cooperate with co-associates and leadership.
• Actively participate in the quality and yield improvements.
• Ensure all associates on the shift have completed all required training.
• Act as safety manager for the shift by taking full responsibility that all PPEs are being utilized at all times, all safety and operating certifications, etc.
• Manage and meet all scheduling and production demands to include adjusting schedules and/or job assignments as necessary to cover for associate absences

Requirements Include:

• Leadership experience
• Basic mechanical skills.
• Strong decision making abilities.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work in a typical plant environment.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Shifts may vary from 8-12 hours
• Extended periods of standing and walking
