Job Description

 2nd shift works 4 10 hour days.  M-Th.   3:30 pm - 1:45 am. 

   Responsible for leading the efforts of production associates to achieve established safety, quality, delivery, cost, and production objectives in the department. You also will be responsible to ensure standard work is being performed on a daily basis.  

  • Ensure that production is conducted in a safe manner and in adherence to Safety policies
  • Ensure that production is done in a manner that is reflective of the desired efficiency levels.
  • Coordinate production priorities, based on direction provided by Production Manager
  • Contribute to a positive atmosphere of cooperation, productivity, team spirit and loyalty to company and departmental goals and objectives.
  • Perform machine operations and run CNC machines (mills or lathes)

Minimum of two years (5+ preferred) experience in people leader role in a manufacturing environment

Previous MRP systems and Lean 5S or Kaizen experience preferred.

Be able to lead  and resolve conflict in a respectful, confidential manner

Proven ability to multi-task in a fast paced manufacturing environment

Excellent communications skills that are carried out in an honest, open, factual, and professional manner

Must be highly motivated, with excellent organizational skills and leadership behaviors

Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and operations

Ability to learn company philosophy, division policies and procedures

Must value diversity of ideas, opinions, experiences, backgrounds, and perspectives needed to foster a competitive business environment

 Minimum 5-10 years of CNC machining experience on lathes or mills.
